Joseph Kusi, PhD
Dr. Joseph Kusi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). He holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Cape Coast, a master’s degree in Biology, and a Ph.D. in Environmental Health Sciences from East Tennessee State University. He also completed a postdoctoral training at Christina Lee Brown Envirome Institute, University of Louisville. Dr. Kusi’s research focuses on environmental health and safety, with an emphasis on occupataional hazards, emerging contaminants of concern, water quality, air quality, human pathogens, antimicrobial resistance, and environmental risk assessment.
