Getting Started with your Pharmacy Education
The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) School of Pharmacy Doctor of Pharmacy follows a 2+4 model. This means that applicants to our program are admitted to the four-year professional degree program after they have completed at least 2 years of college. These first two years can be completed at SIUE. View the list of pre-pharmacy courses.
The SIUE School of Pharmacy continues to rank above state and national averages AND #1 out of all schools in Illinois on the NAPLEX every year since 2014! At 94.4%, our overall NAPLEX pass rate (2009-2022) continues to EXCEED state and national averages . That puts us in the Top 23 out of 142 schools of pharmacy across the US!
