The Cougar Cupboard is seeking help from you and your organization to keep the shelves stocked this semester.  By sponsoring a shelf, your organization name will be listed in the cupboard for the whole semester along with a QR code to your website, social media, or any special link you would like to share!  The minimum contribution is either a $250 donation/semester (you can split this payment up) or host at least one food drive and donate 100+ pounds of that sponsored item.  To sponsor a shelf, please reach out to cougarcupboard@siue.edu.

We've Been Here Before: The History of Black Women in Art
Sunday, October 30 - Wednesday, November 30

Lovejoy Library, 1st floor

Please visit our display of Black women artists from the 20th to present. The display will also focus on the history of Black women in art and have resources to learn more about the artists on display. We will also feature an exhibition by SIUE studio art major Nia Johnson. Please come support Nia and learn more about her artwork.

Honoring Veterans Event

The Honoring Veterans Events will be a time to recognize veterans here at SIUE. Veteran lapel pins will be offered to veterans while supplies last. Limited supplies of light refreshments will be served.

St. Louis International Film Festival
Thursday, November 3 - Sunday, November 13
Lovejoy Library, Abbott Auditorium

Please join us as we celebrate the 31st Annual St. Louis International Film Festival. This is the first time that the university will host this event. Films will be shown on the weekends only (each Friday at 7pm, each Saturday at 3pm and 7pm, and the first Sunday at 3pm). All screenings will be shown in Abbott Auditorium in the basement of Lovejoy Library. This event is free and open to the public. Please contact Simone Williams, Assistant Professor/Diversity and Engagement Librarian, for more information about the event and for a full list of films.
