Homecoming Week is here!  A few of the events are highlighted below, but you can see the full schedule, including games, crafts, parades, athletic events, and more on the Homecoming events page!

Homecoming Kickoff 
10:00 AM - 2:00 PM 
Morris University Center, Goshen Lounge  

Homecoming Week is here! Help us kick things off with a promo item giveaway! Promo items include t-shirts, 16-oz. cups, and frisbees. Open to all current SIUE students. Bring your Cougar ID to qualify for the giveaway.

Wednesday, September 22 
20th Annual Chili Cook-Off 
11:30 AM - 1:00 PM 
Stratton Quad 

Students are invited to taste a number of different chili recipes prepared by Catering Services and vote on their favorite! Free chili samples and free Pepsi products while supplies last. Please bring your Cougar ID.

Annual Homecoming Bonfire 
6:00 PM - 9:00 PM 
SIUE RecPlex 

Enjoy roasting hot dogs and marshmallows over a bonfire on campus! The event will include a DJ and various sports clubs. All SIUE students are welcome!

Unchained will be performing on the quad! Come rock out, enjoy FREE snacks, and play some yard games! Open to everyone. Promo items for current SIUE students only; students will need to show their ID.

Doors open at 6:00 PM, show starts at 6:30 PM

The NPHC Yard Show is an annual showcase of the talent and culture of our National Pan-Hellenic Council fraternities and sororities. This event is free and open to the public, so come out and show your support! Students, please bring your Cougar Cards to be swiped in. Alumni and Guests, please be prepared to sign waivers and provide information for COVID-19 mitigations.

Come cheer on SIUE Men's Soccer at the homecoming game vs. Bradley University! Also, join us in the Cougar Fan Zone from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, in the small parking lot at Ralph Korte Stadium before the game.

LEAD Program

Enrollment is rolling, but now is the perfect time to sign up, so you can start your mentorship program requirement this semester!  LEAD is a personalized, self-paced experience designed to challenge students on 9 competencies of leadership through hands-on learning, meaningful reflection, and relationship building. Students who complete the program in its entirety will walk away with a portfolio they can send to future employers and a medallion to wear at commencement.

Food Recovery Network

Food Recovery Network at SIUE is a campus partner through The Food Recovery Network, a national organization with a goal to cultivate leaders to develop a national network of local solutions to the problem of hunger in our country.  Food Recovery Network at SIUE will recover food from cafeterias, grocery stores, and restaurants, and engage students as volunteers who prepare and deliver meals to the community.

Throughout the semester, the Food Recovery Network will have two (2) available shifts on Tuesdays.  

  • 9:00 AM - 11:00 PM
  • 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

SIUE Lovejoy Library is partnering with Edwardsville Public Library on NEA Big Read Edwardsville, a grant-funded, community-wide reading project.  Please stop by Lovejoy Library or Edwardsville Public Library to pick up a FREE copy of Circe, by Madeline Miller.  Read along and join us for conversations and community events, including a Facebook Live talk with the author herself on October 20!
