Introducing the AmeriCorps Service Scholarship! Are you craving more action than the 4 walls of your dorm room? AmeriCorps is perfect for that! The program allows members to choose a service site with which they complete 300 volunteer hours over the course of one calendar year. All of this hard work does not come without great reward, though! Members receive a $1342.86 scholarship that can be used to pay for future education expenses or even repay student loans, a fantastic experience to put on their resume, and various personal growth and learning opportunities, such as cultural competency. We hope to instill in each member the values behind perseverance, proactiveness, community, and a lifetime of service. Collinsville ReStore - Habitat for Humanity
8:30am to 12:30pm
Meet in Parking Lot B

Lewis & Clark Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Collinsville IL sells new and used building materials and household goods to the public at discounted prices, diverting tons of unwanted material from the landfill. All inventory is donated and proceeds fund our local Habitat mission - to partner with families in need of decent, affordable housing. With our help, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and their families.

Volunteers will assist with sorting donated items, arranging items for display, helping clients, and other duties.

Participants need to wear suitable clothing and sturdy shoes. Masks are required.
Transportation will be provided (please meet in Lot B at 8:30am).
Free-however, advance registration is required.
