The first year residence halls (Bluff, Prairie, and Woodland Halls) will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, December 18, 2020. Evergreen Hall and Cougar Village will remain open during winter break.
Returning Housing Residents will return Friday, January 15 through Sunday, January 17, 2021. Residents will receive information about selecting a date and time for their return in December.
Testing Prior to January Return
University Housing residents who leave for Winter Break will be required to provide proof of a negative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) Covid-19 test before returning to their housing space for the spring term.
New University Housing residents for spring will be required to provide proof of a negative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) Covid-19 test before checking into University Housing for the first time.
- Tests will not be accepted that were taken prior to Monday, January 4, 2021.
- Test result must be submitted to Health Service by Wednesday, January 13 or 48 hours prior to your return to campus, whatever is earlier.
- If your test is negative and received by the deadline for review, you'll be able to move in during your scheduled move-in time. University Housing will provide confirmation via email that you can move-in.
- If your test is positive, you will not be allowed to move-in. We will work with you to schedule a move-in date when you are cleared from quarantine/isolation.
- If you do not provide a test result, you will not be allowed to move-in. We will work with you to schedule a move-in date once you have submitted the test result for review. Spring charges will not be adjusted to account for a late check-in.
Additional information about this process will be released, including how to submit to Health Service, in December.
