Life To Go Series Features “Pilates,” Today

The Office of Human Resources' Life to Go Series will feature, "Pilates,” presented by The Pilates Barre Studio

Stephanie Manning, owner of “The Pilates Barre Studio” and Pilates Method Alliance trained teacher, will guide attendees in learning basic pilates moves, including precision and control movements to gain strength and balance to improve your overall well-being.

Pull out your gym mat and get ready to do a series of movements that will stabilize and strengthen your core over the lunch hour. If you do not have a mat, some will be provided.

We recommend changing into comfortable clothes!

Cougar Basketball, FSM Announce 2017-18 TV Schedule

FOX Sports Midwest will televise eight SIUE men's basketball games in 2017-18.

This marks the sixth consecutive year that FOX Sports Midwest, which features St. Louis Cardinals baseball and St. Louis Blues hockey, will serve as the television home of the Cougars.

FOX Sports Midwest reaches nearly 6 million homes. This season, for the first time, FOX Sports South and FOX Sports Southeast will televise several of the games in the package, bringing SIUE basketball to as many as 12 million additional homes.

FOX Sports Midwest coverage begins Friday, Nov. 15 when the Cougars welcome Valparaiso to the Vadalabene Center for a 7 p.m. contest.

Payroll Deduction Option Available for Student Fitness Center Membership

SIUE faculty and staff will have the option to sign up for payroll deduction for a Student Fitness Center membership.

Membership is in effect from the date that you sign up through December 1, 2018.

Students in Honors 320A will present their research on the effects of party polarization in American politics to the University community.

Annual SIUE Athletics Kids' Night Out, Dec. 8

The SIUE Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the SIUE Intercollegiate Athletic Department will once again be holding their annual Kids’ Night Out event:

6-10 p.m.
Friday, Dec. 8
Vadalabene Center Gymnasium

Enjoy a night to yourself, while your children enjoy a fun-filled evening with the SIUE student-athletes. Activities for the kids will include: board games, coloring, crafts, basketball, volleyball, movies, snacks, tag, kickball and much more!

Ages 4 and up are welcome to attend. The event is open to all. Please feel free to share with friends, family and neighbors!

The cost for the event is $20 for the first child and $5 for each additional child in the same family. If you bring a gently used/washed coat or new coat, the price will be $15 for the first child and $5 for each additional child in the same family. All coats will be donated.
