Karen Wicks is SEHHB's New Director of Development

Colleagues,

We are delighted to announce that Karen Wicks begins today as the School of Education, Health and Human Behavior's new director of development.

Karen brings 20 years of development experience to her new position, including six years at SIUE. During the last six years, she has served as director of Corporate Relations for the SIUE Foundation and as director of development for the School of Engineering. In her prior roles, Karen forged numerous relationships with individuals and corporate partners who have assisted the University.

Karen’s development experience includes a $300,000 gift for the School of Engineering’s Student Design Center, the largest gift in that school’s history. She has also established numerous endowed scholarships. Karen brings much enthusiasm to her new position, and we are so pleased that she is joining our School!

Please Volunteer for The SIUE Experience, Aug. 19

Dear colleagues,

We need YOU to make The SIUE Experience a success for the Class of 2021!

Please consider volunteering to help welcome our new students. The first impressions they experience during this orientation program can have a lasting impact on their connection to SIUE.

We are looking for faculty and staff to accompany new students and upper-class student leaders on our Class of 2021 service project. Held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, this activity puts our SIUE value of citizenship into action.

We are providing service to seven community agencies in the Metro East: Arlington Wetlands, Beverly Farm, Garden of Harmony (Aya Grows), Granite City Community Garden, La Vista CSA Farm, Watershed Nature Center and Willoughby Farm. Bus transportation from Lot B is provided or you are welcome to meet us at one of the service sites.

To volunteer for the service project, please click here to sign up.

Thank you in advance for your support!
