The artwork is part of the SIUE Early Childhood Center’s 7th Annual Children’s Art Exhibit in connection with the National Association for the Education of Young Children’s (NAEYC) Week of the Young Child. The purpose of the Week of the Young Child™ is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs. Mixed in with the art work are wall posters advocating for children’s rights.
