Informational Meeting Today and Feb. 9 for Commit to be Fit Competition

The Exercise Science Club is hosting its annual “Commit to be Fit” competition for all faculty and staff. This friendly competition encourages SIUE faculty and staff to be active by competing as teams of 5-7 to accrue active fitness minutes each week.

Some things to know:
• Form your own team with your co-workers or friends on campus (teams do not have to be from within the same department).
• Graduate and teaching assistants are welcome to participate.
• If you DO NOT have a team, you will be randomly assigned.
• Each team will be assigned a student coach from the Exercise Science Undergraduate Program or the Exercise Physiology Graduate Program to help with goal setting, motivation and accountability.
• The competition officially runs from Monday, Feb. 27-Friday, April 21.
• The last day to sign up is Wednesday, Feb. 15.

Need more information? There will be two optional informational sessions held:

11:30 a.m-1:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 8
Student Success Center (SSC) room 1202

4-5 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 9
Morris University Center, Missouri Room

We have a team, now what?
• Once you have your team together, assign a team captain and decide on a winning team name! An award will be given for the most creative team name.
• Team captains should email committobefitsiue@gmail.com with their team name in the subject line or their last name, if they are signing up as an individual to be assigned to the team.
• The email should include ALL team members' first and last names, as well as their primary email to be used for this competition.
• Coaches will begin emailing their teams during the week of February 20, after all teams have been registered!

Still have questions? You can email them to the above email address and the C2BF organizers will get back to you with an answer.
