SIUE’s Prairie Hall Hosts 17th Annual Haunted House
November 27, 2018Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s Prairie Hall Area Council hosted the 17th annual Prairie Hall Haunted House on Thursday, Oct. 25. Under the theme The Prairie Penitentiary, the haunted house spooked more than 600 guests.
A kid-friendly walkthrough was added this year for families. It allowed families to walk through the haunted house with the lights on and participate in games afterward, giving children the opportunity to participate in this Halloween tradition.

Cougar Village Hosts 13th Annual Run Walk and Roll to Promote Breast Cancer Awareness
November 27, 2018Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s Cougar Village hosted the 13th Annual Run Walk and Roll on Saturday, Oct. 20 at The Gardens at SIUE. Sixty participants helped raise breast cancer awareness. Proceeds were donated to the Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis.

University Housing Participates in Denim Day
April 23, 2018Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s University Housing will participate in Denim Day at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 25 at the Cougar Statue in front of the Morris University Center.
The Denim Day campaign, coordinated by Peace Over Violence, has been taking place for the past 19 years and is held in honor of Sexual Violence Awareness Month.

University Housing Recognizes Residents on the Deans List
February 22, 2017The annual Southern Illinois University Edwardsville University Housing Dean’s List Reception was held Tuesday, Feb. 7 in Evergreen Hall to recognize the 714 University Housing residents who achieved the fall 2016 dean’s list.
The scholarly list is compiled to recognize students who have maintained a grade-point average of 3.5 or better and have 12 hours calculated in a term. Nearly 150 students and their guests attended the celebratory reception.

January 25, 2017Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Woodland Hall Resident Assistant Austin Darling has been selected as the Edwardsville Rotary Student Leader of the Month for November/December.
