On this day in March Madness history SIUE Cougar spirit carried the men’s basketball 2025 OVC Champions all the way from Edwardsville to Wichita, Kan. for their first appearance ever in the NCAA Division I tournament.
Fox 2 News broadcast the departure of the Red Storm who traveled on game day in time for the 1 p.m. tip off. Superfan Gabrielle Allen, second-year student in SIUE School of Nursing, did an SIUE Instagram takeover during the seven-hour bus trip.
