Auto Wash Grand Opening; a Testament to Entrepreneurial Spirit and SIUE SBDC Support
Nick Deiters, an entrepreneur, and client of the Illinois Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, is thrilled to announce the grand opening of his new auto car wash business. With the invaluable support and guidance of the SBDC, Deiters has successfully turned his entrepreneurial dream into reality.
Deiters’ journey with the SBDC began five months ago, inspired by a friend who had previously benefited from their services. Working closely with Jo Ann Di Maggio May, the director of the SBDC, Deiters received comprehensive support throughout his entrepreneurial journey. The SBDC assisted him in navigating legal complexities by connecting him with a reliable lawyer and guiding him in securing the necessary financing. They also informed him about various programs and helped him find the right loan officers to support his venture.
Driven by his passion for small business and his love for cars, Deiters envisioned owning a car wash business that minimized risk while maximizing potential. Alongside managing a vineyard, Deiters plans to transition from his full-time job to running the car wash business full-time once it becomes more established.
Deiters also credits much of his accomplishments to the efforts and support of his wife, Ashley Deiters who is also part owner and entrepreneur.
The car wash will feature automatic washing facilities, ensuring a convenient and efficient experience for customers. Additionally, a membership discount will be available for those who opt for monthly packages. Deiters is currently in the process of refurbishing the business, with everything set to be brand new once the acquisition is finalized.
"I like how connected and resourceful they are, and Jo Ann has been a great help," Deiters remarked, expressing his gratitude towards the SBDC and its director.
“Deiters has worked hard to achieve his goal of owning this carwash,” remarks Di Maggio May. “He has been eager to learn and has been diligent in his own research as well. The SBDC and I look forward to assisting Nick as he grows the carwash and establishes himself in Fairview Heights.”
As the grand opening approaches, the community eagerly anticipates the launch of Nick Deiters' D’s Auto Wash, a symbol of entrepreneurial spirit and the power of community support.
D’s Auto Wash is located at 5922 N. Illinois street, Fairview Heights, IL and Deiters can be contacted at nickdeiters1@gmail.com.
