SIUE Mourns Loss of First-Year Student Morgen Schroeder
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is mourning the loss of first-year student Morgen Ryan Schroeder, of Jerseyville, who died at home unexpectedly on Thursday, Nov. 3. He was 18.
Schroeder was studying criminal justice with the goal of becoming a police officer.
“My deepest sympathies to all who knew Morgen and had the opportunity to interact with him as we mourn the loss of an incredibly bright individual who was taken much too soon,” said Chancellor James T. Minor, PhD.
Arrangements were handled by Crawford Funeral Home. Services were held Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 7-8 in Jerseyville.
