NCERC at SIUE Leads in US Biofuels Research
The National Corn-to-Ethanol Research Center (NCERC) at SIUE is recognized as the country’s leading institution in biofuel research, owing to its status as the only fully integrated research facility of its kind in the world.
An article posted Tuesday, June 7 in the Edwardsville Intelligencer highlights NCERC’s contributions to the state and national economies by attracting global companies and researchers.
NCERC Director of Business Development Jackie Hayes noted, “We’re part of a statewide effort to help attract these companies to not only do research here, but also to build their facilities here. We want them to invest in the community, bringing tax revenue and jobs.”
