SIUE Graduate Admissions to Host Online Open House, March 30
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Graduate Admissions will host its spring open house virtually at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 30. Prospective students are invited to explore the possibilities of an advanced degree.
Each one-hour virtual session will include:
- A brief overview of graduate studies at SIUE, including details about our highly regarded graduate programs
- Information about the admission process and financial support, including scholarships and graduate assistantships
- The opportunity to learn about career development services available to SIUE students and alumni
“SIUE’s diverse array of programs make it an excellent option for the pursuit of an advanced degree,” said Jim Monahan, director of Graduate and International Admissions. “This online event offers a convenient opportunity for prospective students to engage our career development professionals about how these programs can help them achieve their professional goals. I encourage both current undergraduate students and individuals in the workforce to participate in one of our hourlong sessions and learn how simple it is to get the application process started.”
According to Jim Monahan, EdD, director of Graduate and International Admissions, the goal of the open house event is to demonstrate how affordable an SIUE is and how impactful it can be for one’s career.
“SIUE continues to add new options for students to earn a graduate degree, including flexible schedules and online coursework for working professionals, and accelerated options and research opportunities for those who choose to focus on their studies full time,” said Monahan. “Many programs at SIUE allow you to get started quickly and finish at your own pace. I encourage anyone considering graduate studies to join us at this event to learn more.”
Registration is required at siue.edu/graduate-visit.
The $40 application fee will be waived for anyone attending the open house. A Zoom link will be sent prior to the event. Participants will receive a fee waiver code at the event.
