SIUE Alumnae Honored as 2020 Alton YWCA Women of Distinction
Four SIUE alumnae are among the 2020 Alton YWCA Women of Distinction honorees. According to the YWCA, Women of Distinction are “dynamic women leaders who are making a difference in the Riverbend and embody our mission to eliminate racism and empower women.”
SIUE alumnae included:
- Wendy Adams, EdD, completed a bachelor’s and master’s in elementary education in 1998 and 2005, respectively. She later earned an education specialist degree in 2017 and a doctor of education in educational leadership in 2019.
- Angela Gray earned a bachelor’s and master’s in social work in 1997 and 2002, respectively. She also completed an education specialist degree in 2014.
- Lisa Hayes earned a bachelor’s in business in 1996.
- Sherry McCrady completed a bachelor’s in sociology and speech communication in 2003.
