SIUE School of Nursing Hosts Sen. Dick Durbin at WE CARE Clinic
The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville School of Nursing (SON) hosted U.S. Senator Dick Durbin on Tuesday, July 2.
Durbin toured the SON’s WE CARE Clinic, located on the University’s East St. Louis Higher Education Campus. Clinic Director Ricki Loar, PhD, APRN, shared an overview of the comprehensive care provided by clinicians at the WE CARE Clinic. She described its commitment to decreasing health disparities and promoting health to members of the East St. Louis community and beyond.
“We appreciated the opportunity to share with Senator Durbin our efforts to increase access to evidence-based, high-quality healthcare to the citizens of East St. Louis and the surrounding areas,” said Loar.
