SIUE Mourns Loss of Haley Michel, Nursing Student

The SIUE community is mourning the loss of Haley Nicole Michel, of Bethalto, who died Saturday, April 29 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis from a combination of non-Hodgkins lymphoma as well as hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), a rare immune condition. She was 20.
A Bethalto native, Michel was a junior in SIUE’s School of Nursing.
Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Friday, May 5, at the First Christian Church in Bethalto. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 6 at the church. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
