SIUE Alumna Honored Among YWCA of Alton Women of Distinction

SIUE alumna Mary Pat Venardos was among the YWCA of Alton’s 2017 Women of Distinction honorees. Ten women were honored during the 27th annual Women of Distinction dinner held Thursday, April 27 in Godfrey. The distinction celebrates the female leaders’ accomplishments.
Venardos is a three-time alumna of SIUE, having earned a bachelor’s in education, special education/dual certificate in 1982, a master’s in education administration in 1985 and an education specialist degree in 2003.
The Alton Telegraph featured Venardos’ community involvement and impact in a story posted Saturday, April 22. The Telegraph also detailed the 2017 Women of Distinction event in an article posted Tuesday, May 16.
