SIUE Mourns Loss of Student Khiry Taggart

The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville community is mourning the loss of freshman Khiry Taggart, who died Tuesday, April 4 in St. Louis County. The Chicago native was 18.
“Our hearts and minds are with Khiry’s family and friends as we join them in mourning the loss of a member of the Cougar family,” said Chancellor Randy Pembrook.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, April 14 at Burton Funeral Home in Chicago. A wake will be from 10-11 a.m., with funeral services following from 11 a.m.-Noon, Saturday, April 15 at Sheldon Heights Church of Christ in Chicago.
Counseling services are available to students by calling 650-2842 or visiting the Counseling Services Office in the Student Success Center lower level.
