SIUE Campus Recreation Introduces Enhanced Accommodations
Renovations are complete in Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s Vadalabene Center, offering new accommodations that promote an inclusive campus environment.
Campus Recreation led the addition of three separate spaces, including an accessible family restroom in one of the main hallways, and an individual changing room and a restroom with full shower accommodations near the pool entrance.
“Campus Recreation is excited that we could help the Vadalabene Center continue to evolve and meet the emerging needs that we’re seeing right now,” said Dave Hagedorn, assistant director of Campus Recreation. “We are continuously working to remove any barriers to using this space, and ensure our students and visitors feel comfortable and welcome here.”
“We are still working on signage and titles that will help people know how these inclusive spaces can be useful,” he added. “We encourage people to come explore and utilize this great facility.”
