SIUE Filmmakers’ Documentary Receives International Attention

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville alumna Ashley Seering and mass communications instructor Cory Byers are receiving international attention for their documentary, “Renewed.”
The two are finalists in the International Fusion Documentary Challenge. Their documentary will be screened at the Slamdance Film Festival on Jan. 24.
Seering earned a bachelor’s in mass communications from the SIUE College of Arts and Sciences in 2014.
The duo, and their documentary “Renewed,” were featured in an article posted Friday, Dec. 18 in The Edwardsville Intelligencer.
