City of Edwardsville Breaks Ground on New Fire Station at SIUE
The City of Edwardsville broke ground Saturday, Nov. 7, on the new fire station planned on the SIUE campus.
Mayor Hal Patton along with Fire Chief Rick Welle and SIUE Interim Chancellor Steve Hansen were joined by a variety of officials for the ceremony.
The Edwardsville Public Safety Committee recommended the approval of L. Wolf Co., Inc.’s bid of $2,881,000 for the new SIUE fire station earlier in October.
Construction is expected to be completed in August 2016.
