SIUE will Attend State Higher Education Diverse Business Opportunity Fair Oct. 27
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville will join with other public universities and business owners from Illinois to participate in the Higher Education Diverse Business Opportunity Fair Tuesday, Oct. 27 at SIU Carbondale.
The fair will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Student Center, 1255 Lincoln Dr. on the campus of SIUC. It is free and open to vendors who want to do business with state public universities.
The event is designed to benefit minorities, women, disabled and military veteran business owners by allowing them to meet with university buyers across the state. There will be information about procurement guidelines and procedures on becoming a certified diverse vendor with the state of Illinois.
Workshops and panel discussions will also be held on the procurement process and ways to help business owners.
The fair is sponsored by the Illinois Public Higher Education Cooperative (IPHEC).
