SIUE Holds “We Are One” Candlelight Vigil for Peace
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Kimmel Student Involvement Center hosted a “We Are One” Candlelight Vigil for Peace on Wednesday in the Quad.
Several of those in the University community came out to honor and remember all victims of violence. Tarsha Moore, graduate assistant in the office of Student Affairs, was the speaker.
The SIUE community is also invited to attend a “We Are One” discussion panel at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Morris University Center Goshen Lounge. Participants and panelists will discuss various perspectives of the tragedies surrounding violence. Also to be examined are ways to move forward as a society and create an environment conducive to equality.
