“We Must Thrive”: SIUE Interim Chancellor Stephen Hansen on Moving Forward

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Interim Chancellor Stephen Hansen, PhD, has been wholeheartedly committed to the University since he and his wife first arrived in Edwardsville in 1984.
During his tenure at SIUE, Hansen has served in multiple roles, including dean of the SIUE Graduate School, history professor in the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) and interim dean of CAS. Hansen will serve a one-year appointment as interim chancellor while a search for a new chancellor is conducted.
