RHA Hosts 10th Annual Mud Volleyball Tournament
The tenth Residence Housing Association (RHA) Mud Volleyball tournament took place on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015 on the mud volleyball court at SIUE's Prairie Hall. This annual event is designed to promote awareness of RHA and bring students together for a fun, outdoor event near the beginning of the academic year.
Twenty-three teams played on Saturday, with nearly 200 students participating. Each team was made up of six to 10 players. In the championship match, 4 East defeated the Notorious D.I.G. Teams were made up of players from all of the housing communities, including focused interest communities.
“This is one of RHA’s premier events,” said Sarah Kirkpatrick, RHA advisor. “Our student leaders were thrilled to see so many students participating and believe this is a great start to an active year for RHA. The RHA student leadership did an excellent job organizing the event and kept it running smoothly. We are already looking forward to next year!”
Residence Housing Association (RHA) is the voice and representation of residential students at SIUE. Representing 3,500 students, from all five residential areas, RHA remains dedicated to improving on-campus living and objectively providing a voice for the concerns of our residents.
