SIUE Student-Athletes Achieve OVC Medal of Honor

Nine Southern Illinois University Edwardsville student-athletes have received Medals of Honor from the Ohio Valley Conference for academic excellence.
The student-athletes were honored after achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA during the 2014-15 academic year.
SIUE’s Medal of Honor winners include:
- Jack Desse, of Edwardsville, men’s tennis
- Lindsey Fencel, of Bethalto, women’s soccer
- Sierra Halverson, of Upsala, Minn., women’s tennis
- Erin Kennedy, of Wilmington, women’s cross country and track and field
- Molly Marcum, of LeRoy, women’s golf
- Miranda Lidisky, of Swansea, women’s golf
- LaCresha Linton, of Rock Island, women’s track and field
- Ben Scamihorn, of Marshall, men’s cross country and track and field
- Ashton Stair, of Milton, Wis., women’s golf
