Thousands to Attend SIUE Springboard to Success Orientation Programs
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville hosted the first of ten Springboard to Success orientation programs on campus this week. More than 200 incoming freshman students and parents attend the two-day orientation and academic advisement event.
“Springboard to Success helps our incoming students accomplish their class registration and get acquainted with campus before they start in the fall,” said Ryan Downey, assistant director of Admissions. “A new beginning comes with mixed emotions. The students are excited, but also anxious. We want to make sure they leave Springboard with their questions answered, so they’re better prepared for the start of the academic year in the fall.”
Nearly 2,050 students are expected to attend this summer’s Springboard to Success sessions.
