Dr. Pamela Zarkowski to Speak at SIU School of Dental Medicine Commencement
Forty-six students will receive a doctor of dental medicine degree at the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine commencement being held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 6, in the Meridian Ballroom of SIUE's Morris University Center.
Dr. Pamela Zarkowski, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs at the University of Detroit Mercy (UDM), will be the keynote speaker.
Zarkowski is the former executive associate dean of the UDM School of Dentistry. She received a bachelor's, and a master of public health in dental public health. She earned a law degree from the Wayne State University School of Law where she served as an editor for the "Wayne Law Review."
An educator for more than 35 years, Zarkowski has held various administrative roles at UDM including department chairperson, associate dean for admissions, community outreach, and academic affairs. UDM is the largest Catholic university in Michigan.
