Army Tuition Assistance
Don't forget to submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The application opens each year on October 1st for the next Fall. Please visit Student Financial Aid website for calculators to help determing the cost of attendance.
Eligibility
- If you are currently serving in the Army, US Army Reserves, or Army National Guard then you are most likely elligible.
Payment
- $4,000 per fiscal year (October 1st, through September 30th)
- $250 per semester credit hour or $166 per quarter credit hour
- Max 130 semester hours of undergraduate credit or baccalaureate degree
- Max 39 semester hours of graduate credit or masters degree
Timeline of Benefit Use
- Tuition Assistance can only be utilized during a member’s time of service.
Application Process
- Army TA requires signing up through ArmyIgnitED to request Tuition Assistance if you are in the Army, US Army Reserve, or Army National Guard.
- Approval for TA must be acquired before enrollment.
- Plan to request TA as soon as possible to avoid issues.
Campus Requirements/Steps
- Receive acceptance from GoArmyEd as outlined above.
- Submit Tuition Assistance Authorization form to the Bursar’s Office (located in Rendleman Hall) prior to start of course.
- Authorization amount will be entered on student account as memo amount.
- Billing will be processed after four week class drop period.
- Payment will appear on student account when paid by unit.
