Still Using Zoom to Record Your Lectures?

If you are still using Zoom to record your lectures, you and your students are missing some notable features that YuJa offers. The YuJa Software Capture (PC and Mac) records your webcam and your screen share as separate streams. This allows you to edit each video separately in case you need to plug in a new slide or screen share. The separate streams also allow students to change which picture they see larger, the screen share or your web cam. Also, they can move the separate streams around the screen. No more worrying about how your slides are designed and if your video will cover them up! The YuJa Software Capture also uses a tool called Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to detect any text on your slides and generates an automatic index of the video with them. The indexes can be added to Zoom videos, but the Software Capture makes it much more simplistic. This index can be searched by students so they can go directly to a point in your video. Speaking of searching text, closed captioning is also searchable in viewing mode. When using the YuJa Software Capture, you can add often mistaken words in your auto captioning dictionary. Fewer mistakes to fix! So, as you can see, using the YuJa Software Capture tool has many advantages over Zoom. If you have old Zoom videos you can still generate an index and edit the captions, but the two streams of video will not be an option. Consider the YuJa Software Capture for future videos.
