FindTime: Scheduling Assistant Tool

You need to schedule a meeting with multiple people. Maybe you try to use the Outlook Scheduling Assistant to see when everyone is available, but depending on how many schedules you need to align and how busy everyone is, this task can be time-consuming and frustrating. A lot of us have used Doodle to accomplish this task, but unfortunately, it’s no longer free. Introducing FindTime, a free, easy to use, Outlook scheduling assistant tool. FindTime connects to your Outlook application (Outlook Web App, Outlook 2016, and Outlook for Mac) and automatically finds time that works for everyone. You select which meeting dates and times you’d like to offer your participants and simply send the email. Recipients will be given options for meeting dates and times and have the ability to vote on the date and time they prefer. If all participants agree on one date and time, the meeting will be automatically scheduled and added to everyone’s Outlook calendars.
Your recipients don’t need to have FindTime installed or need Outlook to respond to a meeting request. Anyone with an email address can receive a FindTime request.
Just keep in mind is that FindTime looks for availability on the calendar that is associated with the email address to which you’re sending the meeting request. In other words, if you’re using FindTime to find availability for someone @siue.edu and that person isn’t using their Outlook calendar, the plug-in is going to think that person has nothing scheduled, and is therefore always available. For more information and instructions on how to install and use FindTime, check out the ITS KnowledgeBase.
Happy scheduling!
