Turn your notes into Excel spreadsheets

Have a list, note, recipe, or any type of table information that you'd like to convert into an Excel spreadsheet? It's as easy and simple as taking a photo of it.
Microsoft Excel, included in the Office 365 suite, makes it simple to turn nearly any data into an Excel spreadsheet with the snap of a photo. Available for Android and iPhone, Excel's Insert Data from Picture Tool lets you take a photo of the data, and automatically converts the photo into editable table data.
- Open Excel on your Android or iPhone and create a new spreadsheet
- Tap the Insert data from picture button at the bottom of the spreadsheet (3x3 grid with a camera icon)
- Resize/move the red box as needed and tap the Capture button
- After importing the data, you will have a chance to make any necessary corrections by clicking Ignore or Edit
- Press Insert once you're happy with it, and the data will be displayed in the spreadsheet
Hand-written notes can also be converted, but sometimes the app can be a little finicky recognizing the hand-written data. It may take a couple of tries to get it to work.
Download the Microsoft Excel app, and sign in with your e-id and password.
