Outlook Scheduling Assistant Makes it Easier to Plan Meetings
Posted February 7, 2018
By: Niki Glick
The Outlook Scheduling Assistant is a quick and easy way to schedule appointments with multiple participants.
When you create a meeting in Outlook and add participants, the Scheduling Assistant allows you to view those participants' schedules in order to find a time when everyone is available. This reduces the amount of time going back and forth with team members trying to nail down a meeting time.
Note: Everyone with an siue.edu email address can view your calendar but will only see that you are "busy" if you have something scheduled on your calendar; users can only see the details of your calendar events if you give them express permission to do so.
Step-by-step instructions on how to use the Outlook Scheduling Assistant can be found in the SIUE ITS KnowledgeBase:
- How to Use the Outlook Scheduling Assistant (Office 365/OWA)
- How to Use the Outlook Scheduling Assistant (Outlook 2016 Desktop Application)
