How can Previous Students and Employees access CougarNet
Note: This page is intended to assist Previous Students and Employees with accessing their records on CougarNet, if you currently have an active SIUE Account you can login to CougarNet using your full SIUE email address (NOT just your e-ID) and e-ID password.
To access CougarNet after you no longer have an active SIUE Account please follow the instructions below:
Go to the following URL: https://banner.siue.edu/ssb/prevuser and login using your User ID and PIN.
- User ID is your University ID, which is a nine-digit number that begins with 800 (sometimes referred to as your Banner ID)
- Pin is a 10 - 15 digit alphanumeric code
- For initial login please use the temporary pin which was provided to you via email when your SIUE Account became inactive
- If you did not receive or no longer have access to that email account, please contact the appropriate offices below to have your pin reset:
- Previous Students:

- Previous Employees:
- Please Contact HR at 618-650-3060
- When calling, if you do not get an immediate answer, please leave a voicemail with your name and phone number for a callback, and your Banner ID (800#) if known.
- Previous Students:
- If you did not receive or no longer have access to that email account, please contact the appropriate offices below to have your pin reset:
- You will then be prompted to enter and confirm a new pin.
- Your new pin must meet the following requirements:
- Pin must adhere to a minimum length of 10 characters with a maximum length of 15 characters.
- Pin must contain at least 1 alphabetic character.
- Pin must contain at least 1 numeric character. Pin cannot be reused for a period of 1 year.
- Your new pin must meet the following requirements:
