Getting Around
Madison County Transit
The regional bus service connects SIUE campus with the surrounding area. In addition, SIUE partners with Madison County Transit (MCT) to provide a free shuttle from Peck Hall to Cougar Village every 10 minutes. You can buy your pass at the Welcome Desk in the Morris University Center (across from the Cougar Store). The #17 Cougar Shuttle is the fastest and easiest way to get from Cougar Village to Peck Hall and back for FREE. Now running every 10 minutes from 7 AM – 7 PM, Monday through Friday.
Need to go off campus? All MCT buses that serve SIUE stop at the shelter on Hairpin Drive, outside of Peck Hall. There are several buses to choose from at this location. Pay attention to the headsign on the front of the bus to make sure you’re boarding the correct route.
Monthly Passes are available for purchase at the Welcome Desk in the Morris University Center. Or you can purchase passes on your mobile phone through the Token Transit app.
Local Service
- Bus 17 serves the SIUE campus connecting Peck Hall and Cougar Village every 10 minutes.
- Bus 16 connects the Edwardsville Station with the Highway 159 shopping centers (Target, Schnucks, Walmart, Dierbergs, etc)
- Bus 19 runs between Edwardsville and Collinsville, providing access to various housing complexes off of 159.
Service to St. Louis
Bus 16X (Express) connects the Edwardsville Station with downtown St. Louis and the Metrolink train station there.More information about MCT bus routes, cost per trip and monthly passes are available at MCT.
Lyft/Uber
With a smartphone app and a credit card, you can call for a ride. The app will show you the cost of the trip to a destination.
