IRB determination may take multiple weeks including all requested revisions.  The following timelines are provided as an estimate, but please note it is impossible to determine how long a review will take:

• exempt review 1-3 weeks
• expedited review 3-6 weeks
• full board review 4-8 weeks or longer

While exempt and expedited protocols are reviewed on a continuous basis, full board protocols are only reviewed once a month during the IRB full board meeting. The deadline to submit a full board protocol is always 2 weeks before the second Wednesday of the month in which you would like it to be considered.
