General Assistantship (2065-2024)

Qualification

Must be admitted into a graduate program at SIUE. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Comfortable and competent at working independently and problem-solving. Must have the ability to work effectively with office staff, with students, and with the general public. Must be flexible with hours and familiar with general software applications and social media venues (Word, Excel, Facebook, LinkedIn).

 

Position Description

GA will assist department faculty in various aspects of projects/research as requested. As requested, the GA will update postings to the department’s Facebook and LinkedIn sites. GA will be expected to complete work as assigned by the office manager and/or department chair. Duties may also include the completion of generalized tasks to assist daily operations of the department.
