Qualifications

• Ability to Work with Minimal Supervision: Demonstrated capability to work autonomously, making sound decisions and taking ownership of tasks without constant supervision.
• Effective Organizational Skills: Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent Writing Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in written communication, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging content.
• Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
• Marketing Skills: The ability to create and manage a marketing campaign, video and social media marketing experience. Experience in content creation and engagement campaigns.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of work, ensuring accuracy and quality in written documents, presentations, and other materials.
• Self-Starter: Ability to take initiative and work independently, demonstrating proactive problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and adapt.
• Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Suite: Strong command of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to leverage advanced features effectively.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Experience working with Adobe, specifically with Acrobat, Premier, Photoshop, and Indesign, with the ability to create and manipulate content efficiently.
• Familiarity with Production Tools/Software: Knowledge of production tools and software used for creating visuals and other promotional materials with the ability to learn new tools as needed including Canva and other design software.

Position Description

We are seeking a dedicated Graduate Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the creation of project plans, timelines, and overall project schedules. They will collaborate closely with campus leads to identify project milestones and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. The Graduate Assistant will create and manage a marketing campaign to drive engagement with the HLC process. Additionally, the Graduate Assistant will engage with project stakeholders to gather requirements, provide regular updates, and address any concerns that may arise. Specific responsibilities include:

• Project Management and Organization:
o Maintain project documentation including meeting minutes, action items, and status reports. Prepare regular progress reports for project stakeholders.
o Maintain checklist for tasks, updating as required with action items, responsible parties, and prerequisites.

• Digital Marketing and Advertising:
o Coordinate and develop marketing and communications materials to promote and educate key stakeholders, faculty, and students.
o Develop and maintain content in accordance with project stakeholders and SIUE marketing guidelines.

• Communication:
o Facilitate communication among project team members, ensuring everyone is aware of deadlines and database of course changes. Coordinate meetings, workshops, and presentations as needed.
o Work with faculty and student groups to address issues.

• Research and Other Project Administration:
o Conduct research and analysis to support project decision-making and problem-solving. Compile data and information relevant to project objectives.
o Provide general administrative support to the project team, such as organizing files, generate new and updated content, maintain a shared Team site, scheduling meetings, and handling correspondence.
