Congratulations Huan Phan-Van in receiving the SIUE's Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award

Supported by Dr. Nima Lotfi and the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering, Ph.D. student Huan Phan-Van was congratulated by Jerry Weinberg for being selected by the Graduate Student Awards Committee at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville as the recipient of the university’s 2020 Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award at the doctoral level! He will be honored for his achievement at this year’s virtual Graduate School Awards Reception.
Huan Phan-Van received his B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, in 2013, with a senior design project named "Design and Control a Fish Robotic". He spent two years worked in Japan as a design engineer. In 2018, he continued his further study at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). He finished his M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from SIUE, in summer 2020, with a thesis named "Trajectory Control of Omnidirectional Robot Considering Actuator Dynamics". Currently, He is continuing his research at SIUE in Mechanical Engineering as a Ph.D. student. He is interested in researching Mobile Autonomous Robotics. Also, he likes getting knowledge base on real-world applications of control systems, especially in Autonomous Transportation. Dr. Lotfi is his mentor.
