Celebrating 50 years of electrical engineering excellence!
Friends of the SIUE Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering are invited to enjoy entertainment, appetizers and a host bar while we share our memories and accomplishments of the past 50 years. Guests will reunite with faculty and fellow alumni, hear from the IEEE St. Louis Section chairperson and other distinguished leaders while networking with student organizations, like our SIUE Solar Car Team. Impressive senior designers and their projects will also be on display, like: finger tracking gloves for VR applications, an impact-location sensing tennis racquet and a heads-up car windshield display.
Our department’s proudest achievement is the collective success of our engineering alumni, faculty and friends, so we want to celebrate our combined success with you on Saturday, September 24th.
Also, please note that our event ends when the 2022 SIUE Homecoming fun begins. Your participation provides you with free access to the Cougar Fan Zone Tailgate and the Men’s Homecoming Soccer Game when you leave our celebration. Please register to join us today!

We are marking this milestone with a fundraising goal to raise $50,000 or more in general electrical and computer engineering scholarship funds. Last year, we received 36 student scholarship applications in our department and 10 of those students received awards. That is 36 future electrical and computer engineers asking for financial support to help their dreams come true. Student scholarships allow them to more easily concentrate on successfully crossing the higher education finish line.
With your ticket purchase, event sponsorship or scholarship donation, we can be an engineering department that makes awards to 100% of our scholarship applicants.
