Job Description/Responsibilities
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) School of Nursing is seeking qualified applicants for a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) position at the WE CARE Clinic. The FNP will provide direct patient care, including assessments, diagnostic testing, developing diagnoses, and treatment. They will also participate in the clinical education of undergraduate and graduate nursing students, as well as engage in community outreach activities.
The FNP will follow current clinical practice guidelines and comply with laws, standards, and regulations governing clinic operations. Performance evaluations will be conducted annually by the Director of the WE CARE Clinic. Additionally, as a faculty member in the School of Nursing, the FNP will be evaluated by the Department Chair on teaching effectiveness, scholarship, and service. This is a fiscal year appointment, with a teaching load of no more than 7 credit hours per academic year (typically one course per semester).

Minimum Qualifications
- Must possess a Master of Science or DNP in Nursing; board certified FNP
- Must be licensed as a registered nurse and FNP in Illinois
- New FNP graduates are welcome to apply but must have at least five years of RN experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in primary care or a clinical setting
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Experience in serving as a preceptor in an NP program.
- Familiarity with clinical guidelines and regulatory compliance.
