Job Description/Responsibilities
The Department of Computer Science at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position, primarily in support of the Cybersecurity Engineering program. As part of the SIUE School of Engineering, the Department offers an ABET-accredited B.S. degree program in Computer Science, as well as B.A. and M.S. Computer Science degree programs. The department currently has thirteen full-time faculty members and serves approximately 400 students across all programs.

Minimum Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in computer science or related area is required. ABD candidates may be considered.
- All applicants must have a demonstrated interest in teaching and mentoring in computer and cybersecurity, at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
- Applicants must have a demonstrated interest in developing a quality research program and in attracting external research funding.

Terms of Appointment
The salary of the full-time instructor will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate instruction and university and public service. Candidates for this position will be expected to be student-centered and demonstrate a commitment to promoting experiential learning.
