In 2023, SIUE launched its Institute for Community Justice and Racial Equity (ICJRE) at the Southwestern Illinois Justice & Workforce Development Campus (former Lindenwood-Belleville campus). The Institute seeks to bolster the university’s commitment to access, opportunity and social mobility through programming that disrupts patterns of inequities that exist in our communities. Our efforts seek to keep the promise of higher education alive for individuals and entire families and advance the upbuilding of sustainable communities where people of all backgrounds can thrive.
