Students are welcome to take a Free Mental Health Screening. Please note that screening results are not monitored and do not become part of your client chart in Counseling and Health Services. It is meant only for informational purposes and not for diagnostic purposes. Students are encouraged to follow up with Counseling Services if results suggest distress or that additional support is needed.
Crisis Resources
If you are experiencing any suicidal or homicidal thoughts, and/or are experiencing significant deterioration in functioning (i.e. psychosis, struggling to attend to basic needs) SIUE Counseling Services is offering walk-in crisis hours.

The Illinois Warmline
If you need someone to talk to and you are not in crisis, The Illinois Warmline is staffed by people who identify as individuals with lived experiences with mental health and/or substance use challenges. Able to access Monday - Saturday from 8:00am until 8:00pm.
