Assessments
The Career Development Center offers assessments to assist you in identifying career options. Exploration into your personality, interests, skills and work values can identify careers you may not have considered. Students can review their answers and retake any assessment as often as they like.

TruTalent Personality

The TruTalent Personality assessment is based on the innate way people naturally see the world and make decisions. Your personality type contains a set of basic drives and motivations that can be instrumental in selecting a career. Values, skills and interests are quite fluid in young people and often change significantly as they grow older.
Learning about your personality provides you with insights about yourself and career-related needs. People are happiest and most successful in careers that allow them to use their greatest gifts. The TruTalent assessment is a great way to determine what your gifts are!
TruTalent Intelligences

The TruTalent Intelligences assessment determines to what degree a person employs multiple intelligences when solving problems. All individuals have all nine intelligences to a varying degree. This assessment helps students recognize their strengths and weaknesses and allows development of these intelligences to the individual’s greatest potential.
Knowing what degrees of intelligences you have will help you zero in on career direction. This in turn will help you to identify careers that match your intelligences and will allow you to be more well-rounded and ready for a variety of task and problems you may encounter in your career.

The TruTalent Learning & Productivity asssessment increases student’s awareness about their traditional sensory learning styles and their environmental and mindset preferences. This assessment provides tools and guidance to help build strategies for working in the real world.

The TruTalent Skills assessment shows students what their top aptitudes and soft skills are, and how they can be built over time. This assessment will provide insight into the complex skills identified as critical for learning and employment success. Along with their results, they’ll find details for each skill, ways to develop independent skills, a list of careers that match their top skills.
