Gregory Cox
With over thirty years of experience in founding and leading successful nonprofits, Gregory Cox has served as an adjunct instructor in the Pubic Administration and Policy Analysis department since January of 2010. Courses he has taught include Values and Practices (Ethics), Public Policy, Public Organizations, Board and Council Development, SPSS, and Quantitative Analysis.
Cox is the founder and president of Cox Nonprofit Consulting, LLC, and assists nonprofits with soliciting and training boards, strategic development planning, direct mail and email marketing, parliamentary law and procedure, and grant-writing. With clients in the Washington, DC area, Cox is also a registered lobbyist in the US Senate and US House of Representatives as well as in the State of Pennsylvania. Greg emphasizes the importance of clearly communicating his client’s message in simple and inspiring terms.
From 1995-1998, Cox was the Vice-President of Development for the American Center for Law and Justice, a public interest law firm focusing on constitutional law.
He has served on the board of directors for several organizations at the local, state, and national levels. His committee work includes budgeting and investments, credentialing, and parliamentary procedures.
Cox holds a BA in Theology and received an MPA from SIUE. He is currently preparing for the Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) exam.
