Dr. VanSlette is a St. Louis native, and has taught at SIUE since 2011. Her previous positions include: Assistant Professor at John Carroll University, adjunct faculty at Washington University St. Louis, Webster University, and the Consortium of Universities for International Studies, and public relations consultant. At SIUE, she teaches classes at the undergraduate and graduate levels including Public Relations Campaigns: Research and Planning, Public Relations Campaigns: Implementation and Evaluation, Public Relations Case Studies, Social Media for Public Relations, Introduction to Public Relations, Research Methods, Communication Theories, and Public Speaking. Her research interests include public relations pedagogy, social media in public relations campaigns, and corporate reputation management. In her spare time, she serves as chauffer to her 3 kids and dog. Between football, soccer, pickleball, and weightlifting, she and her kids stay active!
